Our Story

Founded in 1998 by entrepreneur Hüseyin Özdemir, the company began its journey at a time when the maritime industry in the Black Sea and Mediterranean regions was undergoing significant transformation. From the very beginning, the founder’s vision was clear: to create a reliable, professional, and forward-looking maritime company capable of connecting regions, supporting international trade, and delivering high standards of service both at sea and ashore.
In its early years, the company operated as a crewing and freight chartering enterprise, focusing on the transportation of general and bulk cargo between ports of the Black Sea and the Mediterranean. This initial phase laid the foundation for the company’s future growth. By combining deep regional knowledge with strong operational discipline, the company quickly earned the trust of shipowners, charterers, and commercial partners operating in these strategically important trade routes.
A key factor behind the company’s early success was its strong emphasis on crew selection and management. From the outset, the company invested considerable effort in building a reliable pool of qualified seafarers, ensuring compliance with international maritime standards while maintaining a strong focus on safety, professionalism, and long-term cooperation. This approach allowed the company to distinguish itself in a competitive market and to establish stable relationships with shipowners seeking dependable crewing solutions.
As demand for maritime transportation grew, so did the scope of the company’s activities. Throughout the early 2000s, the company gradually expanded its chartering operations, handling a wider range of cargoes and serving additional ports across Southern Europe, the Eastern Mediterranean, and North Africa. This period was marked by steady, organic growth rather than rapid expansion, reflecting the company’s commitment to sustainable development and operational stability.

CEO
By the mid-2000s, the company had evolved into a multi-service maritime organization, offering integrated solutions that combined crewing, vessel operations support, and freight chartering. This integrated model proved highly effective, allowing the company to respond flexibly to market fluctuations while maintaining consistent service quality for its partners.
The global financial challenges of the late 2000s tested the resilience of the maritime industry as a whole. During this time, the company chose a conservative and disciplined strategy, prioritizing long-term partnerships, financial stability, and operational efficiency. Rather than scaling back its core activities, the company focused on strengthening internal processes, investing in staff training, and enhancing compliance with evolving international regulations. This approach enabled the company not only to navigate a challenging period but also to emerge stronger and more competitive
Entering the 2010s, the company entered a new phase of development. With a solid reputation established in the region, it began cooperating with a growing number of international shipowners. These partnerships were built on transparency, reliability, and mutual trust — values that continue to define the company’s corporate culture today. During this period, the company expanded its managed fleet and increased the number of seafarers deployed on board vessels operating worldwide.

To support its growing international operations, the company strengthened its organizational structure and expanded its onshore team. Today, the company employs more than 50 permanent office professionals, covering crewing management, operations, chartering, technical coordination, compliance, and administrative functions. This experienced and diverse team works closely with over 400 seafarers serving on vessels operated by the company’s partner shipowners.
Today, the company cooperates with more than ten shipowning companies, providing comprehensive maritime services tailored to the specific needs of each partner. Its operations extend beyond the original Black Sea–Mediterranean routes, supporting vessels engaged in international trade across multiple regions. Despite its growth, the company remains committed to its founding principles: professionalism, reliability, and long-term partnership.
A defining characteristic of the company is its people-centered approach. The management firmly believes that well-trained, motivated, and supported personnel — both onshore and offshore — are the cornerstone of safe and efficient maritime operations. Continuous training, transparent communication, and respect for cultural diversity are integral elements of the company’s human resources philosophy.
The company’s headquarters is located in Istanbul, one of the world’s most historically significant maritime cities and a natural bridge between Europe and Asia. This location reflects the company’s identity as a connector of regions and markets. Recognizing the strategic importance of Southern Europe and the Mediterranean basin, the company later established a branch office in Athens, further strengthening its presence in key maritime hubs and enhancing communication with European partners.
Looking to the future, the company continues to adapt to the evolving maritime landscape. It actively monitors industry trends, regulatory developments, and technological advancements, with the goal of continuously improving operational efficiency and environmental responsibility. While remaining rooted in its original values, the company is committed to innovation and sustainable growth, ensuring that it remains a trusted partner for shipowners, charterers, and maritime professionals for decades to come.

From its modest beginnings in 1998 to its current position as a respected international maritime service provider, the company’s history is a story of steady growth, resilience, and dedication to excellence. Guided by experience, strengthened by partnerships, and driven by a clear vision for the future, the company continues its journey as a reliable participant in the global maritime industry.
